
The University of Lodz will become the fourth international venue of the Erasmus Europe on Scene Network
On May 20, the Management Team of the Erasmus Europe on Scene Network received in the University of Valencia Professor Ms Karolina Prykowska, responsible for the Cultural Policies of the University of Lodz to formalize the signing of the agreement by which this polish University will become the fourth international seat of the Erasmus Europe On Scene Network.
Lodz is the third city in Poland, located in the geographical center of the country, has a very powerful network of universities and an innovative and growing cultural life on the Polish national scene. The Lodz headquarters will have the University’s own financial resources and during the 2019-2020 academic year
The University of Lodz is a responsible higher education institution, focusing its actions on intercultural and social integration. There are 95 nationalities currently studying at the University of Lodz. The University of Lodz builds academic community around the values of respect for cultural, religious and community identities as well as social sensitivity. UL strives to educate active global citizens who think critically, understand the complexity and the diversity of perspectives which underline most global problems.
International relations of the University are visible in various areas. Currently, within direct cooperation agreements, the school cooperates with about 260 partner institutions from all over the world. The mobility of students is high priority for the University of Lodz, both within university mobility programme (including countries outside the European Union) and within the Erasmus+ Programme. Within the Erasmus+ Programme, the University has so far signed 700 agreements with almost 400 partner institutions. These institutions give our students, whether local or foreign, the possibility of spending a semester, or a year, abroad. In return, we welcome many guests from abroad spending a period of their studies in Łódź. The University of Lodz also takes part in other exchange and research programmes, such as Campus Europae, Scholarship and Training Found (EEA and Norway Grants), Compostela Group of Universities, Erasmus Mundus, CEEPUS, Mizuta Scholarship.
