The technical directors of the Erasmus+ Scene Network win the 2018 Young Talent Award from the Valencian Community
The technical partners of the Erasmus+ Scene Network have been awarded the Premio Talento Joven by the Valencian Community. Crit Companyia de Teatre-Essent Creativa S.Coop.V. is a company betting on social economy and constituted of experts in the sciences of language. In times of financial difficulties and a process of deceleration, a group of entrepreneurs, lovers of the scenic arts decided to greenlight their project some five years ago. They are Daniel Tormo, graduate in Hispanic and Italian Philology, actor, playwright and producer; Josep Valero, graduate in Catalan and Italian Philology, actor, director and producer, and Anna Marí, doctor in English Philology and graduate in Catalan Philology, actress, playwright and producer. The objective, according to its creators, is to “set up shows and reclaim heritage through theatre and take advantage of the scenic arts as a tool for integration”. In this short period of time, they have won awards such as the Premio Carlomagno from the European Parliament (2011), for Escena Erasmus. Moreover, they have won three contests of Las Huellas de la Barraca, from the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
Promoting theatre for the younger generation
Crit Companyia de Teatre was a finalist on three occasions for the Premio Talento Joven CV and reached the well-deserved first place in this year’s edition. They strive to promote theatre within a younger audience so as to consolidate a Europe rooted in culture. Since then they have undertaken other projects such as Passos Lleugers (2010), Erasmus Scene Network (2012), Festival de Dins (2012), Las pequeñas Europas (2013), Escena Jove (2013), Erasmus Scene Network (2014), Festival Tercera Setmana (2015), Laboratorio Creadores (2016) and El Drac d´Europa (2017).
Nowadays, the Valencian Cooperative Crit Companyia de Teatre is a company that keeps creating more opportunities for itself in the scenic arts market of various territories.
