EUSCN has been presented at the “Culture and Creativity in Interreg” conference in Valencia
Erasmus Europe on Scene Network (EUSCN) was presented at the “Culture and Creativity in Interreg EU” conference, which was held at La Nau Cultural Centre of the University of Valencia on September 19 and 20.
The presentation was performed by Cristóbal Suria, Managing Director of the General Foundation of the University of Valencia.
Mr Suria pointed out the values of the network, among which he emphasised that the EUSCN disseminates and amplifies the fundamental values of the European Union.
The attending audience came from more than 15 European countries, including the presence of Maciej Hofman (Policy Officer and Head of Cultural Policy) from the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission.
The event ‘Culture and creativity’ aims to enable to exchange insights with other programmes and projects on cultural topics and creative industries within Interreg, focusing especially on the results achieved by the Interreg projects. The organisation of the event was carried out by the Interact’s office in Valencia (Interact is an EU programme, focused on service delivery to support cooperation programmes (Interreg, Interreg IPA-CBC and ENI CBC).
The main objectives of the conference were:
1. To connect the variety of Interreg cultural and creative industries projects within Interreg.
2. To create a platform for Interreg programmes and projects to exchange their experience and knowledge in the field of culture and creative industries.
3. To explore intangible assets of culture and creative industries and its connections with the past and the present.
4. To promote Interact’s capitalisation efforts.
