Escena Erasmus presents the project Erasmus+ Scene Network in Alcalá de Henares, during the first ‘Spanish Universities and refuge’ CRUE meeting

The European theatre project Escena Erasmus was invited by the cooperation delegate of the University of Valencia, José Miguel Soriano, to take part in the first ‘Spanish Universities and refuge’ organized by the group “CUD Action Work with refugee population” from the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE).
Throughout the day, the participants had the opportunity to listen to the experience of other universities and entities linked with the reception of refugees, thus facilitating the development of their activity and improving their standards and understanding of the reality of armed conflicts and their effects.
In his case, Escena Erasmus co-director Josep Valero presented the strategic association Erasmus+ KA2, Erasmus+ Scene Network that enabled the consolidation of the network of universities where Escena Erasmus is implanted, and that for the first time integrates a group of refugees of various nationalities to its scenic productions and activities.
The round table titled “Access to European resources” presented actions led by universities with refugee population, backed by European funds. Other participants, besides Escena Erasmus from the University of Valencia, were María Jesús Morillas from the University of Murcia, Xavier López director of the Solidarity Foundation of the University of Barcelona and Myriam Montero Rodrigo from the Spanish committee ACNUR.
